Reunion degli Abba davanti al Re di Svezia, nominati Cavalieri

Stoccolma, 31 mag. (askanews) - Il re di Svezia Carl XVI Gustaf ha nominato "Cavelieri" gli Abba nel corso di una cerimonia al Palazzo reale di Stoccolma. Il monarca ha consegnato l'Ordine Reale di Vasa a Benny Andersson, Agnetha Faltskog, Anni-Frid Reuss e Bjorn Ulvaeus. Noti per successi come "Mamma Mia" e "Dancing Queen", i quattro sono stati premiati per "gli eccezionali risultati ottenuti nella musica svedese e internazionale". La Svezia aveva smesso di conferire Ordini reali ai propri cittadini nel 1975, in quanto la pratica era considerata anacronistica. Tuttavia, il Parlamento svedese aveva ripristinato la tradizione nel 2022; la cerimonia per gli Abba è stata la prima dedicata a svedesi in 50 anni. Quest'anno ricorre anche il 50esimo anniversario della vittoria degli Abba all'Eurovision Song Contest del 1974 con "Waterloo", che diede il via al successo internazionale del gruppo.
