Sanità: P. De Luca (Pd), 'Ministero nega farmaco per bronchiolite a bambini centro sud'

Roma, 19 set. (Adnkronos) - “Il Ministero della Salute con una nota ha deciso di vietare alle Regioni in piano di rientro sanitario la somministrazione dell'anticorpo monoclonale Nirsevimab (classificato in fascia “C” da Aifa) “in quanto trattasi di prestazione extra LEA”. È una decisione incomprensibile e pericolosa, perché rischia di impedire che tutti i bambini campani, laziali, pugliesi, calabresi, molisani, siciliani, abruzzesi riescano ad avere accesso gratuito ad un farmaco necessario in caso di bronchioliti e polmoniti, per combattere le malattie da Virus Respiratorio Sinciziale (Vrs). Malattie che, per inciso, provocano ogni anno 33 milioni di infezioni a livello mondiale, 3.6 milioni di ospedalizzazioni e 100.000 morti tra i bambini". Così in una nota il deputato democratico Piero De Luca. "Ancora una volta il Governo determina condizioni differenti nell'accesso ai servizi pubblici essenziali. È civile un Paese che nega pari cure sanitarie per questioni contabili creando bimbi di serie A e bimbi di serie B? Per questo abbiamo presentato come PD un'apposita interrogazione al Ministro Schillaci per chiedere se e quali iniziative intenda intraprendere affinché il medicinale in oggetto possa essere somministrato gratuitamente a tutti i bambini, in particolare neonati, che necessitano di questa specifica assistenza sanitaria, in tutto il territorio nazionale”, conclude.
