"Scambi di prigionieri salvano vite umane": parla Kara-Murza

"Per me la differenza più grande tra una dittatura e una democrazia è che il valore più alto in una democrazia è la vita umana, la protezione della vita umana, la salvezza della vita umana. E a coloro che criticano le decisioni dei governi democratici di effettuare scambi, di impegnarsi in questi scambi con regimi autoritari come quello di Putin, vorrei rispettosamente invitarli a parlare non di scambi di prigionieri, ma di salvezza di vite umane". Così Vladimir Kara-Murza nella sua prima apparizione pubblica dopo il suo rilascio. Kara-Murza è uno dei 16 prigionieri che la Russia e la Bielorussia hanno liberato giovedì. Doppio cittadino russo e britannico, politico di spicco dell'opposizione russa, Kara-Murza è stato arrestato nel 2022 dopo aver criticato la guerra in Ucraina. Nel 2023 è stato condannato per tradimento e altre accuse a 25 anni di carcere.
