«Siamo rimasti scioccati»: lo sponsor olimpico C-Spire (compagnia telefonica americana) ritira la pubblicità dopo la «presa in giro» dell'Ultima Cena in versione Lgbt. La decisione, annunciata sui social, è stata accolta con favore dal governatore del Mississippi (dove ha sede l'azienda), Tate Reeves: «Sono orgoglioso di vedere il settore privato del nostro Stato farsi avanti e mettere i piedi per terra. Dio», ha continuato il governatore, «non si lascerà prendere in giro. C-Spire ha tracciato una linea di buonsenso». Non è detto che C-Spire sia l'unica. Quanto avvenuto durante la cerimonia inaugurale dei Giochi ha scatenato polemiche in tutto il mondo.
