Serbia: Belgrado approva reintroduzione servizio militare obbligatorio

Belgrado, 14 set. (Adnkronos/Dpa) - Il presidente serbo Aleksandar Vucic ha approvato la reintroduzione del servizio militare obbligatorio, abolito nel Paese nel 2011. In qualità di comandante in capo delle forze armate, il capo dello Stato ha deciso di reintrodurre un periodo di servizio obbligatorio di 75 giorni. Sebbene la misura si applichi solo agli uomini, le donne possono prestare servizio nelle forze armate su base volontaria. La Serbia ha bisogno di un esercito forte e deve acquistare e produrre più armi, ha affermato Vucic. "Non è nostro desiderio attaccare nessuno. Ma è nostro desiderio - ha aggiunto, senza precisare chi - scoraggiare tutti coloro che ci minacciano giorno dopo giorno".
