"Sette mesi": Nada Hafez trionfa nella scherma e poi sconvolge tutti, choc alle Olimpiadi

Ha dell'incredibile quello che è successo oggi alle Olimpiadi di Parigi 2024. Nada Hafez, 26enne schermitrice egiziana, ha vinto il suo match contro la numero 7 del mondo, la statunitense Elizabeth Tartakovsky. E fin qui niente di strano. Ma sulla pedana di gara non c'erano due persone. Bensì tre, o quasi. Come è possibile? L'atleta egiziana è incinta di sette mesi. Uno choc per il mondo dello sport: non si è mai vista una cosa del genere. È la stessa Hafez a dare la notizia sul suo profilo Instagram. "Mentre vi sembrava che fossimo in due sulla pedana, in realtà eravamo in tre: io, la mia avversaria e il mio bambino che verrà al mondo. Io e il mio bambino - ha scritto la 26enne egiziana - abbiamo avuto la nostra giusta dose di sfide, sia fisiche che emotive. Le montagne russe della gravidanza sono dure di per sé, ma dover lottare per mantenere l'equilibrio tra vita e sport è stato a dir poco faticoso, ma ne è valsa la pena. Sono orgogliosa - ha poi aggiunto - di essere arrivata fino agli ottavi di finale". La Hafez, nonostante la giovane età, è già una veterana dei Giochi. "Queste Olimpiadi sono state diverse - ha spiegato l'egiziana -. Sono una tre volte olimpica (il riferimento alle precedenti partecipazioni a Rio e Tokyo, ndr) ma stavolta portando con me un piccolo olimpico".
