Quando Daniil Medvedev è in giornata, neanche il numero uno al mondo può fermarlo. Ed è proprio quello che è accaduto ai quarti di finale di Wimbledon, dove Jannik Sinner si è dovuto arrendere al tennis del russo. Il loro è forse stato il match più appassionata di quest'edizione del grande slam inglese. Con l'azzurro che si è portato a casa il primo set per poi farsi subito rimontare dal russo. E nel mezzo anche un piccolo problema di salute per l'altoatesino, che ha costretto Jannik a richiedere assistenza medica. "Mi gira la testa", aveva detto. Dopo essere stato soccorso dai sanitari, l'azzurro è ritornato sull'erba di Wimbledon. Ma non ha saputo difendersi dai colpi micidiali lanciati dal russo. Che peccato.
