Jannik Sinner è in finale del torneo Masters 1000 di Cincinnati. Con una grande prova e un tennis di livello altissimo, l'azzurro ha battuto in tre set in semifinale il tedesco Zverev, al termine di una battaglia durata tre ore. 7-6, 5-7, 7-6 il punteggio in favore dell'italiano, che interrompe la serie di quattro vittorie consecutive di Zverev negli scontri diretti e soprattutto si assicura di restare numero uno al mondo anche dopo lo Us Open. "Questa vittoria significa tanto", ha detto Sinner a caldo dopo il match. In finale affronterà l'americano Tiafoe.
