Sostenibilità, Tassi (Enav): "Con Free Route dei cieli enorme forte risparmio CO2"

Roma, 16 apr. - (Adnkronos) - "Il trasporto aereo produce il 2,5-3% del totale delle emissioni. Il problema di fondo è che le strade per ridurre queste emissioni non sono tantissime, anzi, al momento ci sono solo i biofuel che però hanno un costo superiore al carburante utilizzato. Il fatto è che però il carburante è anche l'elemento che incide di più sul costo del biglietto. Quindi con i biofuel pagheremmo i biglietti aerei il triplo di oggi". Lo ha sostenuto Davide Tassi, Direttore Sustainability di Enav intervenendo all'appuntamento di Adnkronos Q&A ‘Le nuove strade della sostenibilità' presso il Palazzo dell'Informazione. "Come Enav - ricorda - abbiamo come core business il controllo dello spazio aereo: il lavoro che possiamo fare è quello di disegnare rotte sempre più brevi e dirette. Ma per primi in Europa abbiamo sviluppato le Free Route" una sorta di 'autostrade del cielo con cui "sopra i 6500 metri un aereo può muoversi in modo diretto. In questo modo abbiamo fatto risparmiare alle compagnie più di 1 milione di tonnellate di emissioni di CO2", rivendica Tassi ricordando fra l'altro come "dal 2023 in Enav siamo carbon neutral".
