Starmer: "Sospensione Gb armi a Israele decisione legale, non politica"

Londra, 4 set. (askanews) - Il premier del Regno Unito Keir Starmer ha definito "una decisione legale" la parziale sospensione da parte del suo governo delle esportazioni di armi verso Israele per il timore che possano essere utilizzate in una violazione del diritto umanitario. "Non è una questione di Israele. È il quadro di riferimento per tutte le licenze che devono essere tenute sotto controllo", ha detto in Parlamento. Starmer ha affermato inoltre che l'annuncio di lunedì di sospendere 30 delle 350 licenze di esportazione di armi non significa un cambiamento nel sostegno del Regno Unito al diritto di autodifesa di Israele.
