Tempesta a Chicago: suonano le sirene d'allarme

Tempeste e tornado hanno colpito l'Indiana, l'Iowa e l'Illinois, compresa Chicago, dove sono suonate le sirene di allarme. Il maltempo ha abbattuto alberi, pali elettrici e ha tolto la corrente elettrica a centinaia di migliaia di persone. In città, inoltre, è stato emesso un avviso di alluvione fino alle prime ore di martedì a causa di possibili allagamenti nelle vicinanze di torrenti, ruscelli, canali di scolo, strade e sottopassaggi.
