Tifone si abbatte sulla costa Est delle Filippine: almeno sette vittime

Un tifone si è abbattuto sulle Filippine causando almeno sette morti e costringendo alla chiusura di diversi porti, con migliaia di passeggeri che sono rimasti bloccati. Il tifone Ewiniar, che ha risparmiato la capitale Manila, si è avvicinato alla costa orientale del Paese nella tarda serata di venerdì, prima di allontanarsi dall'arcipelago in direzione Nord-Est. Almeno sei abitanti di villaggi sono annegati nelle acque alluvionali o sono morti dopo essere stati colpiti dalla caduta di alberi durante l'improvviso diluvio nella provincia di Quezon, colpita duramente, ha detto la polizia provinciale. Nella provincia meridionale di Misamis Oriental, un uomo è morto a causa della caduta di un albero che ha colpito la moto-taxi su cui viaggiava.
