"Trovati esplosivi sospetti": di nuovo paura per Trump, allerta prima del comizio

Altra brutta notizia dagli Usa. Le autorità della Contea di Nassau hanno dichiarato di aver trovato esplosivi sospetti in un'auto vicino al Nassau Coliseum. Proprio il luogo dove l'ex presidente americano Donald Trump terrà un comizio nella serata di oggi, mercoledì 18 settembre. Stando a quanto si apprende da alcune fonti locali, il ritrovamento è avvenuto durante una perlustrazione con l'ausilio di cani da parte delle forze dell'ordine. La zona è in stato di allerta, come riporta il Daily Mail. Stando a quanto ha dichiarato un ufficiale di polizia della zona, il perimetro di sicurezza attorno all'area è stato violato e un misterioso barile blu è stato individuato e rimosso subito dal luogo. Uno degli occupanti del veicolo sarebbe invece stato avvistato mentre abbandonava il mezzo per dirigersi nel vicino bosco, senza però lasciare tracce. Al momento, non è ancora stata confermata la presenza di ordigni. La polizia statunitense sta intensificando i controlli sulla Hempstead Turnpike, dove numerosi veicoli sono stati parcheggiati in fila, e nell'area di Eisenhower Park. Migliaia di sostenitori di Donald Trump sono attesi per il raduno delle 19:00, alimentando ulteriori preoccupazioni per la sicurezza.
