Trump ricorda i caduti nel ritiro da Kabul al cimitero di Arlington

Roma, 26 ago. (askanews) - L'ex presidente americano e candidato repubblicano alle presidenziali di novembre, Donald Trump, ha visitato il cimitero nazionale di Arlington, in Virginia, per celebrare il terzo anniversario del ritiro delle truppe statunitensi dall'Afghanistan, e tentando di trasformare quel caotico ritiro in un attacco alla vice presidente e candidata democratica, Kamala Harris. Trump è stato raggiunto dai familiari di alcuni dei 13 soldati statunitensi uccisi durante un attentato kamikaze all'ingresso dell'aeroporto. L'ex presidente ha deposto una corona di fiori alla Tomba del Milite Ignoto. Su Truth Social ha poi scritto: "Questo è il terzo anniversario del ritiro fallimentare dall'Afghanistan, il momento più imbarazzante nella storia del nostro Paese". L'ex presidente ha poi continuato dicendo: "Incompetenza grossolana: 13 soldati americani morti, centinaia di feriti e morti, americani e miliardi di dollari di equipaggiamento militare lasciati indietro".
