Ucraina: incendio centrale Zaporizhzhia, Aiea 'nessuna minaccia sicurezza nucleare'

Mosca, 12 ago. (Adnkronos) - La torre di raffreddamento della centrale nucleare di Zaporizhzhia, dove ieri è scoppiato un incendio, non costituisce una minaccia per la sicurezza della centrale nucleare. Lo ha detto il direttore generale dell'Agenzia internazionale per l'energia atomica (Aiea), Rafael Grossi. Nel descrivere il danno alla torre di raffreddamento dell'impianto, Grossi non ha menzionato chi fosse responsabile dell'incendio. La causa delle fiamme è dovuta all'impatto con un drone, ha detto a Ria Novosti il direttore delle comunicazioni della centrale nucleare di Zaporozhzhia, Evgenia Yashina, aggiungendo che i tempi per il ripristino saranno chiari dopo aver valutato le sue condizioni. In precedenza, l'ente statale russo per l'energia Rosatom aveva dichiarato che la torre di raffreddamento era stata gravemente danneggiata a seguito di due attacchi diretti da parte di droni d'attacco delle Forze Armate dell'Ucraina e che l'incendio scoppiato era stato spento dal ministero per le Situazioni di Emergenza. Da parte sua, il presidente ucraino Volodymyr Zelensky ha scritto su X che "gli occupanti russi hanno appiccato un incendio sul sito della centrale nucleare di Zaporizhzhia. Attualmente, i livelli di radiazione sono nella norma".
