Ucraina: Kiev, 'Crimea più facile da riconquistare del Donbass'

Kiev, 8 ago. (Adnkronos) - Liberare la Crimea sarebbe più facile che riconquistare il Donbass, date le caratteristiche strategiche della penisola. Lo ha dichiarato il capo dell'intelligence militare ucraina Kyrylo Budanov. La Russia ha occupato la Crimea e parte della regione orientale del Donbass nel 2014. "Da un punto di vista militare, è molto più facile riconquistare la Crimea che il Donbass, che ha un fronte più lungo di 1.000 chilometri e una profondità di oltre 200 chilometri", ha spiegato Budanov durante un discorso alla facoltà di Economia dell'università di Kiev. "La Crimea ha due punti di accesso. Uno dal lato russo e uno dal nostro: il ponte di Crimea (Kerch) e l'istmo di terra". Grazie alla pressione combinata delle truppe ucraine e alla distruzione delle vie di comunicazione russe, la penisola può essere facilmente isolata, ha aggiunto.
