Roma, 9 lug. (askanews) - Il presidente degli Stati Uniti Joe Biden non è in cura per il morbo di Parkinson, ha dichiarato la portavoce Karine Jean-Pierre, dopo che il New York Times ha scritto che "un esperto di Parkinson ha visitato la Casa Bianca otto volte in otto mesi"; indiscrezioni che fanno seguito a giorni di speculazioni sulla salute del presidente in vista delle prossime elezioni, dopo la debacle nel dibattito contro Donald Trump. La Casa Bianca ha comunque divulgato il nome del neurologo che ha visto Biden, nonostante la dichiarazione di Jean-Pierre. Leri stessa è la destinataria di un memorandum, indirizzatole dal medico di Biden, Kevin O'Connor, dove si fa il nome del neurologo Kevin Cannard. Ma si dice che ha "numerosi pazienti" alla Casa Bianca. E che "il presidente Biden non ha visto un neurologo al di fuori della sua visita medica annuale".
