Venezuela: González a Sánchez, 'farò rispettare volontà sovrana venezuelani'

Madrid, 12 set. (Adnkronos/Dpa/Europa Press) - Il leader dell'opposizione venezuelana Edmundo González ha fatto sapere al primo ministro spagnolo, Pedro Sánchez, che continuerà a lottare "per far rispettare la volontà sovrana" dei venezuelani espressa nelle elezioni del 28 luglio, ringraziandolo per l'interesse della Spagna nel lavorare per il ritorno della democrazia" nel suo Paese. González ha incontrato Sánchez al Palazzo Moncloa, quattro giorni dopo il suo arrivo a Madrid a bordo di un aereo dell'Aeronautica Militare e dopo aver lasciato il Venezuela con l'intenzione di chiedere asilo in Spagna. Come ha spiegato nella sua breve dichiarazione, González ha avuto "una conversazione molto piacevole e interessante" con Sánchez, che ha ringraziato per essere stato accolto in Spagna con sua moglie e al quale ha espresso la sua "riconoscenza per il l'interesse nel lavorare per il recupero della democrazia e rispetto dei diritti umani nel nostro Paese". González, ha inoltre espresso la propria "determinazione a continuare la lotta per far rispettare la volontà sovrana del Venezuela emersa il 28 luglio con il voto di oltre 8 milioni di persone".
