Xi Jinping arriva in Europa per farla da padrone

Emmanuel Macron e Ursula von der Leyen hanno alzato un po' la voce, sottolineato le cose che non vanno in ambito geopolitico e commerciale, indicato la strada da seguire per avviare una collaborazione più leale con l'Europa. Ma la sensazione è che Xi Jinping le idee le abbia già ben chiare. E non contemplano cambiamenti di strategia o di direzione rispetto all'attuale posizionamento della Cina, che continua a mantenere una linea anti-Usa sui conflitti in corso e finge di cadere dalle nuvole sul tema della concorrenza commerciale sleale sul mercato europeo dell'energia e dell'automotive. Lo sforzo dei leader europei, almeno sulla carta, c'è stato. L'Unione europea e la Francia contano sulla Cina affinché «eserciti tutta la propria influenza sulla Russia» per far cessare l'aggressione a Kiev, ha annunciato la presidente della Commissione Ue dopo la trilaterale di ieri mattina all'Eliseo. Tra l'altro, Von der Leyen e Macron hanno lanciato un monito al leader cinese affinché faccia «maggiori sforzi per limitare la fornitura alla Russia di equipaggiamenti dual use (che possono venire utilizzati sia a fini civili sia militari) che si trovano sul campo di battaglia» in Ucraina.
