Mattarella sostiene: ‘Il fascismo ha contribuito alla brutalità nazista’

Il presidente della Repubblica, Sergio Mattarella, ha partecipato a una cerimonia per gli 80 anni della zona libera della Carnia e dell'Alto Friuli. Durante l'evento, ha richiamato l'alleanza tra il fascismo e il regime nazista e sottolineato l'importanza del ricordo di queste sofferenze per la pace e la conoscenza attuale dell'Italia. Mattarella ha riconosciuto la popolazione di Carnia come fondamento della Costituzione e della democrazia italiana. L'evento ha registrato una massiccia partecipazione. Durante l'estate del 1944, la Repubblica della Carnia e dell'Alto Friuli fu una delle venti aree libere partigiane formatesi nell'Italia settentrionale, che nonostante la sua breve esistenza, contribuì a indirizzare l'agenda dell'Italia post-25 aprile.
