Bergman e Antonioni, due maestri del cinema uniti dall'ultima scena

Diciassette anni fa (forse alla stessa ora) morirono due grandissimi del cinema, Ingmar Bergman e Michelangelo Antonioni. Era il30 luglio 2007, le redazioni erano vuote e forse non molti notarono la concomitanza. E non molti furono puntuali coi necrologi. Eppure non era stata la prima di concomitanza. Mezzo secolo prima i due grandi erano lì (e assieme a loro tanti altri big come Fellini e Visconti, Godard e David Lean) ad annunciare la nuova era del cinema. Proprio così. Alla fine dei fifties la settima arte diventava definitivamente arte, entrava nella maggiore età. Il cinema smetteva di essere il cugino ricco e un po' cialtrone del teatro e della letteratura e si imponeva come fatto culturale del secolo. Da quel momento lo spettatore se voleva veder raccontato l'uomo (colle sue paure e gli entusiasmi, le gioie e le tragedie) sarebbe entrato in una sala cinematografica e non più (o molto meno) in teatro o in libreria.
