"Bolla d'aria" nello scafo: l'ultima voce sul Bayesian, lo scenario all'interno del relitto

Si cercano ancora i sei dispersi della tragedia del Bayesian, lo yacht affondato al largo di Palermo la notte tra il 18 e il 19 agosto. I sopravvissuti si aggrappano alla speranza di "una bolla d'aria" interna allo scafo che potrebbe aver salvato la vita ai loro cari. Lo riportano i media britannici. L'ipotesi in questione, però, è già stata considerata improbabile da alcuni esperti. I dispersi sono il proprietario dell'imbarcazione, il tycoon Mike Lynch e sua figlia; il presidente della banca d'affari Morgan Stanley International, Jonathan Bloomer, e sua moglie; e il legale di Lynch, Christopher Morvillo, con la consorte. I primi quattro sono tutti cittadini britannici; l'avvocato e sua moglie americani. Un fratello di Bloomer, Jeremy, alla Bbc ha confessato di non volersi rassegnare, rifiutando così di arrendersi al peggio, almeno fino a quando i corpi non saranno recuperati. Bloomer ha sottolineato che l'operazione dei subacquei è una procedura inevitabilmente "lenta". Poi ha aggiunto: "Potrebbero essersi formate sacche di aria, ma non lo sappiamo. Per questo è ancora tempo di aspettare e sperare, tenendo le dita incrociate". Intanto, ha parlato anche Karsten Borner, il comandante della barca a vela olandese Sir Roberto Baden Powell, che ha prestato i primi soccorsi al veliero Bayesian: "Quando siamo intervenuti noi, i 15 superstiti erano già sulla scialuppa di salvataggio del veliero che stava affondando. Il loro gommone poteva, però, contenere 12 persone ma loro erano in 15 e rischiava di andare giù da un momento all'altro. Così li abbiamo raggiunti con il nostro tender e li abbiamo portati sul Sir Robert. Sono stati momenti molto concitati, con una tempesta in corso".
