"Cosa ho notato mentre giocava": la rivelazione di Medvedev sul malore di Sinner

La caduta (pesante) del numero uno al mondo. Giramenti di testa, problemi allo stomaco e Daniil Medvedev hanno fermato Jannik Sinner a Wimbledon. Il numero 1 del mondo è stato sconfitto al quinto set dal russo: 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 2-6, 6-3. Nel terzo set, sul 2-1 per Medvedev, Sinner ha accusato un malessere, chiamando l'intervento del medico. "Mi gira la testa" ha detto prima di essere accompagnato negli spogliatoi e tornare in campo dopo circa 10 minuti tra gli applausi del pubblico. L'azzurro ha anche chiesto e avuto al suo angolo un cestino nel caso avesse avuto bisogno di rimettere. Da numero 1 al mondo Sinner è poi piano piano ripartito, tornando nel match e vincendo il quarto set. Niente da fare però poi nel quinto, tra qualche errore di troppo e soprattutto un doppio fallo che ha indirizzato il set. Medvedev ne ha approfittato e ha chiuso l'incontro raggiungendo le semifinali. "Se vuoi battere Jannik la partita deve essere per forza dura. Lui ha avuto dei problemi fra la fine del secondo e l'inizio del terzo set ma poi è tornato a giocare bene. Io sono molto contento della mia vittoria e del mio tennis di oggi", ha affermato Daniil Medvedev alla fine del match vinto contro Sinner ai quarti di finale di Wimbledon. "A un certo punto mi sono reso conto he lui non si muoveva bene ma sapevo che il match sarebbe cambiato. Sono stato bravo a restare concentrato e a giocare sempre il mio tennis", ha aggiunto il russo.
