"Disattivate subito il 2g sul cellulare": truffe, come ti fregano con un sms

L'immaginazione dei truffatori non ha davvero limiti. Sms, link e messaggi strani. Ne abbiamo viste di tutti colori dall'avvento di internet e degli smart phone. A chi non è mai capito di riceverne almeno uno? Ad allarmare i cittadini questa volta è stato proprio il colosso dell'informatica Google. L'invito agli utenti è quello di disattivare sui propri smartphone Android la possibilità di collegarsi al 2g. Google ha pubblicato una guida in cui vengono spiegate per filo e per segno le modalità con cui avvengono le truffe e cosa bisogna fare per prevenire tali spiacevoli situazioni. In particoare, i truffatori utilizzano dei dispositivi radio in grado di imitare i siti cellulari reali, (le False Base station). Le Fsb vengono infatti utilizzate per inviare link e messaggi di phishing. Le vittime pensando di accedere a un sito sicuro, si ritrovano, invece, davanti a una vera e propria truffa online. In questo modo i furbetti riescono ad accedere a dati sensibili e finanziari degli utenti. Per chi volesse evitare brutti scherzi basterà disabilitare il 2g accedendo alle impostazioni del proprio telefonino, proseguire sulla casella Rete e Internet e spuntare la voce "consenti 2G" dal menù Rete Mobile. A quanto s'apprende dal Corriere della Sera, i gestori definiscono questa tecnica con il nome di "Sms Blaster" ed è possibile grazie al trasporto di simulatori e Fbs portatili che permettono ai truffatori di creare una rete 2g nascosta dietro una falsa rete 4g e 5g.
