Iacometti: Europa in rivolta contro l'elettrico. Stellantis, vendite giù

Il mercato dell'auto europeo arranca, Stellantis va in retromarcia. Le immatricolazioni in Unione Europea, Efta e Regno Unito - secondo i dati dell'Acea, l'associazione dei costruttori europei - sono state 1.025.290, lo 0,4% in più dello stesso mese del 2023. Nei primi 7 mesi del 2024 sono state vendute 7.906.191 auto, il 3,9% in più dell'analogo periodo dell'anno scorso. Molto peggio il bilancio del gruppo franco-italiano controllato a metà dalla Exor degli Agnelli-Elkann. Stellantis a luglio ha immatricolato solo 152.830 auto, il 4,8% in meno (-5,2% solo nell'Ue) dello stesso mese del 2023. Inevitabile la perdita di posizioni. La quota di mercato è scesa dal 15,7% al 14,9%. E non va meglio neanche allargando l'orizzonte temporale. Nei primi sette mesi dell'anno le immatricolazioni del gruppo sono state 1.298.102, in calo dello 0,5% sull'analogo periodo del 2023, con una a quota pari al 16,4% contro il 17,1% di un anno fa. Magra consolazione, anche la Volkswagen va male. Il gruppo tedesco a luglio mantiene la testa nelle immatricolazioni nell'Unione Europea con 229.387 unità vendute, ma il calo annuo è del 2,2% e la quota di mercato scende dal 27,6 al 26,9% Ad accelerare la caduta dei due gruppi europei ci ha messo lo zampino anche la conferma di un trend che ormai si sta consolidando: il flop delle auto elettriche. Le vendite dei veicoli a batteria sono diminuite del 10,8% a 102.705 unità, che rappresentano il 12,1% del mercato europeo rispetto al 13,5% dell'anno precedente. Piacciono molto di più i veicoli ibridi, che sono cresciuti del 25,7% e hanno aumentato la loro quota di mercato, passando dal 25,5% al 32%. Tutti e quattro i mercati più importanti per questo segmento hanno registrato aumenti a due cifre: Francia (+47,4%), Spagna (+31,5%), Germania (+22,4%) e Italia (+17,4%). Una crescita che ha portato la quota di mercato ibrido-elettrica al 32%, rispetto al 25,5% del luglio 2023. Tornando alle vendite complessive, a registrare la crescita maggiore tra i cinque maggiori mercati è stata proprio l'Italia, che segna un +4,7%, seguita dalla Spagna (+3,4%) e dal Regno Unito (+2,5%). In calo, invece, la Francia (-2,3%) e la Germania (-2,1%). Il nostro Paese- sottolinea l'Unrae, l'associazione delle case estere - torna però a essere fanalino di coda per le auto elettriche, che hanno una quota di appena il 7,3%. «Non c'è ancora nessun segnale che autorizzi a ritenere che il mercato dell'auto possa ritornare in tempi ragionevolmente brevi ai livelli ante-crisi e ciò nonostante che il prodotto interno lordo della Ue abbia pienamente recupero gli effetti della crisi», sottolinea il Centro Studi Promotor che mette in evidenza come rispetto al 2019 le immatricolazioni in Ue, Efta e Regno Unito registrino a luglio un calo del 22,9% e nei sette mesi del 19%. Il Csp ricorda tra i fattori della crisi «la forte crescita dei prezzi delle auto e la politica adottata dall'Unione Europea per raggiungere l'obiettivo dell'abbandono delle vendite di auto con motori endotermici a partire dal 2035». Secondo Gian Primo Quagliano, presidente del Centro Studi Promotor, «una parte importante della responsabilità dell'attuale crisi va ricercata proprio nella politica della Ue che ha imposto pesanti investimenti all'industria automobilistica dell'area e che in presenza di uno scarso interesse da parte del pubblico per l'auto elettrica ha determinato la necessità per gli Stati di sostenerne la domanda con incentivi di rilevante entità. Si sono create inoltre le condizioni per una forte penetrazione nel mercato dell'Ue di auto elettriche cinesi».
