Innovazione, Toia: "Europa verso sostenibilità ambientale con il supporto del digitale"

Milano, 19 apr. - (Adnkronos) - "In questa fase di grandi cambiamenti l'Europa deve avere un grande coraggio e anche una grande concretezza nel trasformare il nostro sistema verso la sostenibilità ambientale, con tutto il supporto che il mondo digitale e le sue potenzialità. E c'è un'ulteriore sfida: la trasformazione eve essere inclusiva cioè deve consentire a tutti di partecipare". Sono le parole di Patrizia Toia, vicepresidente della Commissione Itre per l'Industria, la Ricerca e l'Energia del Parlamento Europeo, intervistata a margine della seconda giornata degli “Stati generali delle ingegnerie digitali”, organizzati a Milano dall'Ordine degli ingegneri. L'europarlamentare indica la strada intrapresa dall'Europa per abbracciare il cambiamento: “L'Europa ha disegnato una strategia, dal Green Deal in poi, e la sta accompagnando con le risorse necessarie. L'Europa, se unita, può trovare la capacità di avere risorse ulteriori e necessarie. Il mondo cambia in continuazione - sottolinea - e la scienza che diventa poi scoperta tecnologica, applicazione tecnologica, ci dà moltissime potenzialità e possibilità per accelerare i processi produttivi, per renderli più puliti e per trovare soluzioni anche per la salute delle persone. C'è una grande trasformazione in corso e la scienza e la ricerca sono essenziali per tenere il passo adeguato. Ma cosa più importante è il capitale umano. Le persone e le professioni sono importanti. Che il Collegio degli Ingegneri cerchi di capire, anche con tutte le istituzioni, quali sono i processi in atto per portare il suo contributo e qualche cosa di interesse generale” ha concluso.
