Mauro Zanon: tasse e migranti, il programma di Donald Trump

La convention di Milwaukee (Wisconsin) che ha incoronato Donald Trump come candidato ufficiale del Partito Repubblicano in vista delle presidenziali americane di novembre, si è conclusa sulle note della Turandot di Puccini, con l'aria “Nessun dorma” cantata da Pavarotti. Nel palazzetto della convention Gop sono risuonate le parole “Vincerò, vincerò”, poco dopo la promessa di The Donald ai suoi concittadini: «Renderò l'America nuovamente grande, riporterò il sogno americano». Forte dei sondaggi che lo danno strafavorito contro l'attuale inquilino della Casa Bianca Joe Biden (che ieri ha poi annunciato il ritiro) e della raccolta fondi che sta andando a gonfie vele grazie anche alla scelta azzeccata di scegliere il senatore J.D. Vance come candidato vicepresidente, Trump dice che sarà «l'elezione più importante» della Storia americana, che tra quattro mesi gli elettori repubblicani vivranno «una vittoria incredibile” e i prossimi quattro anni “saranno grandiosi” per gli Stati Uniti, grazie al suo programma. IL DOCUMENTO Dedicato ai “Forgotten Man and Woman of America”, il piano di Trump per rilanciare l'America inizia col preambolo “America First: A Return to Commen Sense”. «L'America ha bisogno di una leadership repubblicana determinata a ogni livello di governo per affrontare le minacce principali alla nostra stessa sopravvivenza: la disastrosa apertura delle frontiere, l'economia indebolita, le restrizioni paralizzanti alla produzione energetica americana, l'esercito impoverito, gli attacchi al sistema giudiziario americano e molto altro ancora», si legge nel preambolo. «Per rendere chiaro il nostro impegno, offriamo al popolo americano il Programma del GOP 2024 per rendere l'America nuovamente grande! Si tratta di un programma lungimirante che inizia con le seguenti venti promesse che realizzeremo molto rapidamente una volta conquistata la Casa Bianca e la maggioranza repubblicana alla Camera e al Senato». Le prime due promesse riguardano la tolleranza zero sull'immigrazione clandestina: sigillare le frontiere e fermare l'invasione dei migranti e condurre la più vasta operazione di espulsione della Storia americana. Su quest'ultimo punto, Trump, durante il suo discorso di chiusura della convention di Milwaukee, ha annunciato un'operazione «anche più grande di quella del presidente Dwight Eisenhower di molti anni fa. Sapete, era un moderato, ma credeva fortemente nei confini. Ha condotto la più grande operazione di espulsione che abbiamo mai avuto». In campo economico, Trump assicura che metterà fine all'inflazione negli Usa, causata, a sua detta, dalle grandi spese di Biden, e che ci saranno tasse più basse e meno regolamentazioni (aliquota dell'imposta sul reddito delle società al 21%, tariffa universale del 10% su tutte le importazioni dagli Stati Uniti e una tariffa del 60% sulle importazioni dalla Cina). Rendere l'America «il produttore di energia dominante nel mondo» e mettere fine all'esternalizzazione, facendo «diventare gli Stati Uniti una superpotenza manufatturiera», sono le altre priorità del candidato repubblicano in campo economico. E passiamo al tema della politica internazionale, dove Trump, che venerdì ha avuto un colloquio telefonico con il presidente ucraino Volodymyr Zelensky, promette di «scongiurare la Terza Guerra Mondiale, restaurare la pace in Europa e nel Medio Oriente e costruire una “cupola di ferro”, uno scudo di difesa missilistico a protezione di tutto il nostro Paese, interamente costruito in America». Poi annuncia il pugno duro contro i cartelli della droga stranieri, le bande criminali e il degrado generalizzato, per rendere le città americane «nuovamente sicure, pulite e belle», e l'obiettivo di «rafforzare e modernizzare le nostre Forze Armate, rendendole, senza esitare, le più forti e potenti del mondo». LE BATTAGLIE Tra le promesse, figura inoltre la lotta per la protezione dell'assistenza sanitaria SENZA TAGLI (scritto in maiuscolo nel programma). Tagli che invece verranno applicati, in caso di vittoria, ai fondi federali destinati a quelle scuole che promuovono «la teoria critica della razza, l'ideologia gender radicale e altri contenuti impropri di tipo razziale, sessuale o politico rivolti ai nostri figli». Tolleranza zero anche verso i radicali pro Hamas, «per rendere le nostre università nuovamente sicure e patriottiche». L'obbligo delle vetture elettriche verrà cancellato e verranno tagliate allo stesso tempo «le regolamentazioni costose e pesanti». Nel programma non viene menzionato, ma lo scorso giugno, in una conversazione con Politico Europe, Karoline Leavitt, portavoce della sua campagna elettorale, affermò che qualora venisse rieletto alla Casa Bianca, Trump uscirebbe nuovamente dagli Accordi sul Clima di Parigi.
