Medio Oriente, Tajani “Serve cessate il fuoco a Gaza”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “L'invito alla prudenza è il primo passo verso una soluzione sostenibile del conflitto israelo-palestinese: le forze armate israeliane sono ancora impegnate a Gaza per eliminare il controllo di Hamas sulla striscia, a Rafah per ora sono concentrati oltre un milione di civili e un eventuale attacco rischia di creare nuove migrazioni verso altri territori e alimentare l'odio antiisraeliano”. Così il ministro degli Esteri Antonio Tajani, intervenuto in audizione dinanzi alle Commissioni riunite Esteri e Difesa nell'Aula convegni del Senato. “Ho espresso al ministro degli esteri di Israele la mia preoccupazione sulle conseguenze di un nuovo attacco – aggiunge Tajani, – Serve un cessate il fuoco senza mai diminuire l'impegno per la liberazione degli ostaggi israeliani; ho chiesto anche di garantire la sicurezza di quanti portano aiuti umanitari, il cui ruolo è fondamentale. Alleviare le sofferenze della popolazione civile e lavorare per un nuovo negoziato sono obiettivi politici e doveri morali: il popolo palestinese non può e non deve scontare le colpe per le violenze dei terroristi di Hamas. Seguiamo con preoccupazione anche gli sviluppi in Cisgiordania: ogni forma di violenza insensata rischia di allontanare la prospettiva dei due Stati”. – Foto: Agenzia Fotogramma – (ITALPRESS)
