Panetta: "Il calo demografico peserà su pensioni e sanità, l'immigrazione regolare può aiutare"

(Agenzia Vista) Rimini, 21 agosto 2024 "Nei prossimi decenni si ridurrà il numero di cittadini europei in età da lavoro e aumenteranno gli anziani, con effetti negativi su sistemi pensionistici, sistema sanitario, propensione a intraprendere e innovare, sostenibilità dei debiti pubblici. E' essenziale rafforzare il capitale umano e aumentare l'occupazione di giovani e donne, in particolare nei paesi – tra cui l'Italia – dove i divari di partecipazione al mercato del lavoro per genere ed età sono ancora troppo ampi. Anche misure che favoriscano un afflusso di lavoratori stranieri regolari costituiscono una risposta razionale sul piano economico, al di là di altre valutazioni di natura sociale o etica. L'ingresso di immigrati regolari andrà gestito all'interno dell'Unione Europea bilanciando le esigenze produttive ed equilibri sociali, assicurando un'integrazione" così il Governatore della Banca d'Italia Fabio Panetta, intervenendo al meeting di Rimini.
