Pecoraro Scanio: "Trombe marine killer. Allarme dai pescatori"

Roma, 20 ago. (askanews) - "Sottovalutare il cambio climatico in atto é criminale. Basta chiedere ad un pescatore professionista e vi spiegherà che fino a pochi anni fa un evento temporalesco estremo veniva avvertito con 2/3 ore di preavviso consentendo di mettersi in sicurezza. Oggi è tutto molto veloce e più forte e in 10/15 minuti puoi essere travolto" lo spiega in un video Alfonso Pecoraro Scanio, presidente della fondazione Univerde e già ministro dell'ambiente insieme a Massimo Lembo, un pescatore esperto operante nel Cilento e attivo in tutta Italia a difesa della piccola pesca sostenibile. Il pescatore racconta la sua esperienza diretta e Pecoraro Scanio che lanciò inascoltato e anzi criticato l'allarme "bombe d'acqua" già anni fa aggiunge: "Qualche ora prima della tragedia di Palermo, a poca distanza dal porto, i satelliti del sistema Copernico già segnalavano super temporali nel mare di Palermo. É stato lanciato un allarme adeguato? E comunque è chiaro che occorre rivedere e affinare i sistemi di allerta ed educare cittadini e operatori alla pericolosità letale di eventi climatici un tempo meno aggressivi? Non si può sottovalutare il cambiamento già avvenuto e le sue gravi conseguenze".
