Il premier spagnolo Pedro Sanchez ha concluso il suo tour di tre giorni nelle nazioni dell'Africa occidentale, mirato a rafforzare la cooperazione nel controllo dell'immigrazione irregolare dalla regione verso le Isole Canarie in Spagna, con un incontro con il presidente del Senegal a Dakar. I due hanno tenuto una conferenza stampa congiunta, durante la quale il primo ministro spagnolo ha ribadito il suo sostegno per la migrazione regolare tra i due paesi. "La contrattazione dei lavoratori nei paesi d'origine, la migrazione ordinata, convengono a tutti. Ci immunizza contro chi fa dell'immigrazione irregolare un business, come le mafie, e rispetto a quanti la utilizzano come una scusa per diffondere l'odio e la xenofobia nelle nostre società", ha detto Sanchez. Parole, quelle del leader del partito socialista, che forse faranno storcere il naso ai grandi sostenitori del "tutti dentro", in Spagna e in Italia. Anche se, c'è da sottolinearlo, le immagini sconvolgenti di Melilla, insieme a Ceuta una delle enclave spagnole in Marocco e tra gli obiettivi principali dell'immigrazione clandestina, con una lancia della Guardia civil che ha travolto letteralmente un barcone con 4 migranti a bordo non hanno destato lo scalpore atteso tra gli ultrà dell'immigrazione sempre e comunque. Nessuno, insomma, pare essersi stracciato le vesti per i metodi brutali usati per fermare quei disperati.
