Londra, 9 lug. (Adnkronos) - E' stata una battaglia durata cinque set e quattro ore quella tra il numero uno del mondo Jannik Sinner e il numero 5 Daniil Medvedev e alla fine l'ha spuntata il russo che torna per il secondo anno consecutivo in semifinale dove sfiderà il vincente della gara tra Carlos Alcaraz e Tommy Paul. Era la rivincita della finale dell'Australian Open tra Medvedev e Sinner in scena sul Centrale di Wimbledon e questa volta il successo è andato al moscovita in cinque set con il punteggio di 6-7 (7-9), 6-4, 7-6 (7-4), 2-6, 6-3, con l'altoatesino che ha chiamato anche il medico ad inizio terzo set. I due campioni si scontravano per la dodicesima volta, la prima sull'erba, con il russo che ha vinto i primi sei scontri diretti, l'ultimo in finale a Miami nel 2023 e da allora cinque vittorie di Sinner.
