Produzione Usa, 1965, ore 2 e 53 minuti LA TRAMA È la storia della famiglia Von Trapp, aristocratici austriaci che negli anni 30 fuggirono in America per sfuggire alle persecuzioni naziste. In America trovarono un'insperata fortuna come complesso musicale. L'anima del gruppo fu sempre Maria, una novizia che entrò come governante nella casa del barone Von Trapp e accudì splendidamente ai suoi sette figli. Accudì anche il barone e divenne presto sua moglie. Poi arrivò il nazismo a turbare (ma non distruggere) quell'isola di felicità. PERCHÈ VEDERLO Perché a 60 anni di distanza rimane il film per famiglie per eccellenza. Perchè resiste? Per le cattivanti musiche di Rodgers e Hammerstein, per Julie Andrews (premio Oscar) per la regia di Wise, un regista di drammi ("Stasera ho vinto anch'io") che sapeva fare proprio tutto, anche il musical (cinque anni prima aveva fatto "West Side story").
