Liguria: Toti, 'orgoglioso di tante cose fatte, ringrazio chi mi ha sostenuto'

Milano, 26 lug. (Adnkronos) - "Lascio orgoglioso delle tante cose fatte e onorato di aver lavorato con molte persone capaci e coraggiose, che sapranno portare avanti questa esperienza". E' uno dei passaggi della lettera con cui Giovanni Toti, agli arresti domiciliari dallo scorso 7 maggio con l'accusa di corruzione, annuncia le sue dimissioni da presidente della Regione Liguria. "E' di soddisfazione che questo difficilissimo momento coincida con la fine del cantiere e l'apertura della Via dell'Amore, un'opera complessa, a cui abbiamo lavorato anni, che restituisce al mondo uno dei simboli della Liguria" aggiunge. "Ringrazio gli assessori che si sono succeduti in questi anni, il mio straordinario staff di Presidenza, che mi ha affiancato senza risparmiarsi con vera abnegazione al progetto, quei dirigenti e funzionari che ci hanno affiancato con competenza e passione" prosegue. "Avrei voluto confrontarmi diversamente con il nostro territorio, con i tanti sindaci e amministratori con cui abbiamo condiviso i progetti, gli amici che mi hanno affiancato in due lustri di lavoro indefesso, le forze politiche che hanno sostenuto questa esperienza. Non è stato possibile farlo, sono confidente che lo sarà nel prossimo futuro, valutate dai magistrati le istanze che l'avvocato Savi si appresta a ripresentare nelle prossime ore" conclude Toti.
