L'uragano Beryl colpisce i caraibi con venti a 220 km/h

Granada, 2 lug. (askanews) - L'uragano Beryl di devastante potenza si sta abbattendo con venti a 220/240 km all'ora e intense precipitazioni sulle isole dei Caraibi. Colpite in particolare dalla piccola isola di Carriacou, vicino a Granada, ma anche la Martinica e le Barbados, provocando ingenti danni: strade allagate, smottamenti, tetti delle case scoperchiati,. Al momento si segnala solo una vittima ma è presto per fare un bilancio. Beryl aumenta di intensità e viaggia verso la Giamaica Con il passare delle ore l'uragano Beryl si è rafforzato fino a diventare una tempesta di categoria 5 "potenzialmente catastrofica", afferma ancora il National Hurrican Center (Nhc) degli Stati Uniti mentre il ciclone tropicale continua a colpire i Caraibi.
